PATIDAR MPS MEET GUJARAT CM, DISCUSS WITHDRAWAL OF CASES AGAINST THE ‘COMMUNITY’

A political exercise has already started to count the votes of Patidars before the Assembly elections 2022. All BJP Patidar MPs have reached Gandhinagar on the issue of Patidar reservation movement. Simultaneously, BJP’s Patidar MPs have arrived to meet the CM Bhupendra Patel. All these MPs have reached Gandhinagar directly from Delhi during the winter session. These include Ramesh Dhaduk, Mohan Kundaria, Shardaben Patel, HS Patel, Mitesh Patel, and Naran Kachhadiya. A total of more than 140 cases against the Patidars may be withdrawn. Notably, 485 police complaints were lodged during the agitation.

4 days ago, non-political people including Dinesh Bambhania of Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti (PAAS) held a meeting with the Chief Minister. The meeting discussed the withdrawal of the long-pending case of the Patidar movement.

The meeting was attended by Naresh Patel, a leader of Leua Patidar Samaj and Chairman of Khodaldham Trust, and representatives of Umiya Mata Sansthan, Unjha, the largest organization of Kadwa Patidar Samaj. Also present were PAAS leader Alpesh Kathiria, Dinesh Bambhania, and others. In the year 2015, under the leadership of Hardik Patel and some other youths, the Patidar community gathered at the GMDC ground in Ahmedabad, and demanded the reservation for their community. At that time, a violence broke out all over Gujarat, in which 14 Patidar youths were reportedly killed.
