Following LoP Rahul Gandhi’s scathing attack on the ruling government, which resulted in ruckus in the Lok Sabha, Prime minister Narendra Modi had requested NDA MPs to display exemplary behaviour and observe parliamentary rules.
This advice was given during NDA parliamentary party meeting, which was attended by many BJP leaders and ministers.
After the meeting, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju addressed the media, and said, ‘The Prime Minister gave us an important message. He said that all MPs have come to the Parliament for service to the nation and asked NDA MPs to prioritise this. He also guided us on how to conduct ourselves in the House’
As per parliamentary affairs minister, PM Modi asked MPs to observe rules while raising issues related to their constituency and of national importance.
He also announced, that they should make sure, that their behaviour is up to the mark.
Later, condemning Rahul Gandhi’s behaviour, he said, ‘Yesterday, the way Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi behaved, he turned his back towards the Speaker and even insulted him. We must not be doing this. This is our lesson’
When asked whether today’s meeting talked about Mr. Gandhi’s remarks and the commotion in Lok Sabha yesterday, the Parliamentary Affairs Minister responded in the negative, saying ‘This meeting was not about that, it was to boost coordination among us.’
Union Minister Kiren Riju also revealed, that Prime Minister will respond to the debate on the motion of Thanks to president address on lower house (Lok Sabha) today.
Meanwhile yesterday, Rahul Gandhi launched blistering attack on BJP, where he accused the ruling party for misusing the central agencies for political gains While BJP leaders accused Gandhi for deliberately targeting Hindus, but the latter defending his remarks said, that his remarks are targeted at BJP and RSS.
