In a wholesome interaction, javelin prodigy Neeraj Chopra promised PM Modi, that once he comes back from Paris Olympics event, he’ll bring homemade churma for the latter.

Meanwhile, Neeraj Chopra gave an update regarding his preparation and said, ‘Training is going fine in Germany. I have been playing less because of injury scares. I am trying to stay injury free. I got a gold at an event (Paavo Nurmi games) at Finland recently.’
Later, he extolled the youngsters to be fearless and have belief in yourself, in order to acquire best results.
‘In my debut Olympics, I got the result because I was fearless, had belief in my game and training. One should be confident, not fear foreign athletes.’ said Chopra.
Besides Chopra, famous Indian Badminton player PV Sindhu also said encouraging words for new players and wished them luck.
‘For the new players, I would like to wish them luck, there is a lot of pressure and excitement. I just want to say that it is like any other tournament. You got to focus and have belief, give your 100 per cent.’ said sindhu.
She also asked the players to treat Olympics like any other sports and have faith in themselves.
Earlier on Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently chatted with India’s 2024 Paris Olympics contingent at his residence.
During interaction, PM motivated the players to make their country proud and paid extra attention to first players Ramita Jindal (air rifle shooting), Reetika Hooda (wrestling), Antim Panghal (wrestling), Nikhat Zareen (boxing) etc.
To debutants, he asked the players to keep the tricolour flag in their hearts and do not blame circumstances, if they don’t go the way they expected.
Later, he also said, that he’ll welcome them warmly, once they secure a medal in Paris Olympic tournament.
Some of the players like PV Sindhu, Lovlina Borgohain and javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra attended the meet via video conference.
Coming to the tournament, the 2024 Paris Olympics is set to begin on July 26, 2024, and will finish on August 11.
This Olympic, India is set to increase their medal tally from 2020 Tokyo Olympics, where they won seven medals which included one gold, two silver and four bronze medals.
