BJP workers in Panchkula, under the leadership of District President Ajay Sharma, staged a robust protest. BJP demanded the arrest and cancellation of MP Dheeraj Sahu’s membership. They gathered at Panchkula Sector 5/7 Shalimar Chowk, protesting vigorously against the Congress and burned an effigy of the MP. During an income tax department raid at the residence of Congress leader and Rajya Sabha MP Dheeraj Sahu in Jharkhand, more than 300 crores of cash were found.
District President Sharma alleged that the Congress leader is spending the hard-earned money of the common people on the development of his family. He accused the Congress of always looting the nation, mentioning that mountains of black money are emerging from the store of affection in the Congress.
Furthermore, he demanded the arrest of MP Sahu and the termination of his MP status. Before burning the effigy, BJP workers chanted slogans of “Jai Shri Ram,” “Long live Modi,” and “Victory to Mother India.”
Sharma strongly condemned the alleged acts of corruption, emphasizing that no matter how big the corrupt person might be, the law will catch up with them. He proclaimed that Prime Minister Modi’s New India will not allow the exploitation of the public in the name of royal families. He highlighted the need for action against corruption, stating that the loot of the people’s hard-earned money must be returned.
He accused Congress of being the mother of corruption, insinuating that cash being recovered from Sahu’s locations has confirmed the allegations. He pointed out that the corrupt wealth collected by Congress leaders is the result of the hard work of the poor, oppressed, and marginalized.
Sharma declared that the Congress and its arrogant alliance aim only for corruption. He pledged BJP’s commitment to uprooting corruption completely under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership.
During this event, many BJP leaders, including Panchkula Mayor Kulbhushan Goyal, former Director of GAIL Banto Kataria, Secretary Ranjita Mehta, Vice President Satpal Gupta, Councilors Suresh Verma and Sonu Bidla, and Youth Wing District President Akshar Pal, were present along with hundreds of workers.
