Police identified the father as Tayyab, who confessed to the grievous crime. According to authorities, Tayyab admitted he could not afford medical treatment for his newborn daughter and thus decided to bury her alive. He reportedly placed the infant in a sack before carrying out the tragic act.

A formal case has been lodged against Tayyab, who has admitted his guilt. Authorities have indicated that the child’s grave will be opened for forensic examination as part of the ongoing investigation, following a court directive.

Incident in Lahore: Domestic Worker Abused

In a separate incident in Lahore’s Defence B area, a husband and wife are accused of severely abusing a 13-year-old domestic worker. The young girl, Tehreem, was reportedly subjected to physical torture and stripping over suspicions of theft.

The abuse came to light after Tehreem’s mother filed a complaint, leading to the registration of a First Information Report (FIR) against the accused, Hassam. While Hassam has been detained, efforts are ongoing to apprehend his wife. According to the FIR, Tehreem sustained fractures to her hand and nose during the ordeal.

The Superintendent of Police (SP) Cantt has assured that those responsible for the reprehensible acts against Tehreem will be brought to justice swiftly, as reported by ARY News.
