Over 20 flights operated by Indian airlines received bomb threats, according to sources.
Flights operated by IndiGo, Vistara, Air India, and Akasa Air received the threat calls. Among them were domestic flight schedules as well as international ones. Sources confirmed that six such threat calls involved flights operated by IndiGo, Vistara, and Air India.

IndiGo has also mentioned the flight numbers that it operates: 6E58 (Jeddah to Mumbai), 6E87 (Kozhikode to Dammam), 6E11 (Delhi to Istanbul), 6E17 (Mumbai to Istanbul), 6E133 (Pune to Jodhpur), and 6E112 (Goa to Ahmedabad).

Vistara confirmed security threats to six of its flights: UK25 (Delhi to Frankfurt), UK106 (Singapore to Mumbai), UK146 (Bali to Delhi), UK116 (Singapore to Delhi), UK110 (Singapore to Pune), and UK107 (Mumbai to Singapore). “As per the protocols, all the concerned authorities have been informed promptly and security operations, as ordered by them, are being carried out,” stated the airline.

Akasa Air stated that it had received security alerts on Sunday, saying: “We are following all safety and security procedures in coordination with local authorities.”

Though sources confirm that at least six flights of Air India were similarly threatened, the airline hasn’t given its comment.

More than 90 flights have received bomb threats this week to date, though most of them have turned out to be hoaxes.
