Nick Jonas recently shed light on his Indian nickname, “National Jiju,” during an appearance on ‘The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon’. Known for being Priyanka Chopra’s husband, Nick shared the meaning behind the affectionate term used by Indian fans and paparazzi.

Jiju” translates to “elder sister’s husband” in Hindi, and Nick explained, “As you know, I am married to Priyanka. When we got married, this hashtag started. I was ‘National Jiju.’ So effectively, I’m the older brother to India.

The show host even played a clip from a Jonas Brothers concert in India, where Joe and Kevin Jonas introduced Nick as “Jiju.

On social media, Nick recently celebrated Priyanka Chopra’s birthday with heartfelt posts. He shared stunning pictures and a sweet message: “The woman that you are. How lucky am I. Happy birthday my love.” He also reminisced about their engagement, posting a photo from six years ago with the caption: “I asked the most amazing woman in the world to marry me 6 years ago today. Thank you for saying yes.

In terms of their upcoming projects, Priyanka Chopra has finished shooting for ‘Heads Of State‘, directed by Ilya Naishuller, and is involved in Barry Avrich’s new documentary, ‘Born Hungry’ . Nick Jonas will star in the Broadway production of ‘The Last Five Years‘ alongside Adrienne Warren.
