In the BJP Parliamentary Board meeting, there was brainstorming about the next Vice Presidential candidate of the country. On Saturday, BJP President JP Nadda has announced the name of Jagdeep Dhankhar as the Vice Presidential candidate.
While announcing the name of Vice Presidential candidate Dhankhar JP Nadda said, “Dhankhar is a kisan putra (son of farmer) who established himself as people’s governor.”
In July 2019, Jagdeep Dhankar became the Governor of West Bengal.
The election for the post of Vice President is also to be held immediately after the Presidential election. For which BJP is fully engaged in its preparations.
Notably, the last date for filing nomination papers for the Vice Presidential election is July 19, and the election is to be held on August 6.
Apart from PM Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari, and BJP National President JP Nadda were present at the BJP Parliamentary Board meeting.
Moreover, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and BJP National General Secretary BL Santosh were also present at this meeting.
