The police were notified about a car stopping on the bridge and the woman crossing the safety rail. “After receiving the alert, a patrolling vehicle rushed to the scene. As the police approached, the woman lost her balance and was about to fall into the sea. However, a cab driver and traffic police officers managed to catch her just in time,” a police official explained, according to reports.
The incident occurred around 7 p.m. The woman, a resident of Mulund, had asked 31-year-old cab driver Sanjay Yadav to stop on the bridge. Footage shows her sitting on the safety barrier of Atal Setu, throwing something into the sea, and then attempting to jump.
