In another Mumbai Hit-and-Run case on July 20, a speeding BMW claimed the life of 28-year-old Vinod Laad in Mumbai’s Worli area. The incident, which came to light on Monday, involved the accused, Kiran Indulkar, who fled the scene but was later apprehended by authorities, according to India Today.

Vinod Laad was returning home from work on his two-wheeler when Indulkar’s BMW collided with him from behind on Abdul Gaffer Khan Road. After the impact, Indulkar abandoned the seriously injured Vinod, who was subsequently rushed to the hospital by local passersby. Despite their efforts, Vinod succumbed to his injuries on July 27, a week after the accident. A case was filed, leading to Indulkar’s arrest.

This incident marks the second BMW-hit-and-run case in Mumbai this month and the third overall in recent times.

Earlier this month, on July 7, Mihir Shah, the son of Shiv Sena leader Rajesh Shah, was involved in a hit-and-run accident. Shah’s car crashed into a scooter, resulting in the death of a 45-year-old woman and injuries to her husband. Shah, who did not reveal his reasons for fleeing the scene or provide his whereabouts to the police, was arrested and presented in Sewri court on July 16. He was remanded to judicial custody until July 30.

In another recent accident on July 28, an Innova collided with a rickshaw in Navi Mumbai, causing the rickshaw driver’s death. The vehicle lost control and struck two additional cars on the roadside, reported The Times of India. The driver fled but was later apprehended by the police.

Additionally, on July 22, an Audi struck two rickshaws, injuring both drivers and passengers. The vehicle was impounded, and an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
