Melania Trump Rejects Jill Biden’s Traditional Tea Invite, Citing FBI Raid On Mar-A-Lago

Melania Trump has declined First Lady Jill Biden’s invitation to meet at the White House, marking a departure from a longstanding tradition observed by outgoing and incoming first ladies. The decision coincides with Donald Trump’s return to office, though Melania has maintained a low profile throughout his recent campaign.

Initially, her absence was attributed to scheduling conflicts linked to her newly released memoir. However, sources close to Melania, speaking to the New York Post, revealed deeper reasons behind her choice: lingering frustration over the FBI’s 2022 raid on Mar-a-Lago, authorized by President Biden, as part of an investigation into classified documents. A source described the Bidens as “disgusting” and confirmed that Melania had no interest in engaging with Jill Biden, even in the interest of tradition.

Despite her husband’s victory, Melania remains outside the public eye, with sources indicating she is still not inclined to return to the spotlight. This decision follows a break in tradition after the 2020 election, when Donald Trump declined to invite the Bidens to the White House, though Melania did meet with Michelle Obama after Trump’s 2016 win.

Reports indicate that Melania’s memoir openly criticizes the US government, accusing it of violating her privacy. In a recent video promoting her book, she referenced the Fourth Amendment to underscore her reaction to the FBI raid, saying, “I never imagined my privacy would be invaded by the government.” She expressed shock that her personal belongings were subject to the search, describing it as a violation of her rights.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump will meet with President Biden in the Oval Office this Wednesday, honoring the tradition of a post-election meeting between incoming and outgoing presidents.
