Meerut: Investor’s Matrimonial Ad Claims 54% Yearly Growth On Rs 29 Lakh Income Goes Viral

A unique matrimonial ad from a 26-year-old Meerut-based investor has gone viral on X (formerly Twitter), sparking widespread amusement and skepticism. The ad, posted by a self-proclaimed “intellectual, handsome and smart” stock market investor, claims his annual income of ₹29 lakh is “compoundingly increasing” by 54% each year. His bold financial claims and an offer to send a PowerPoint presentation on safe investing to potential brides have raised eyebrows, with many questioning the credibility of such rapid growth.

Unusual Matrimonial Pitch

Unlike traditional matrimonial ad, which typically emphasize physical attributes and personal backgrounds, this one took an unexpected turn into financial territory. The investor detailed his income from the Indian stock market, emphasizing that his self-taught work has led to his wealth increasing at an extraordinary rate.

“Investor (Indian stock market), earning 29 LPA (actual, present). Income and net worth compoundingly increasing every year by 54% (self-discovered, self-taught work),” the ad reads.

PowerPoint Presentation Offer

In a peculiar twist, the ad emphasizes the “safe” nature of his investing methods and even offers a PowerPoint presentation to potential matches. The investor is willing to send this 16-slide presentation via WhatsApp, explaining how his “safe investing” has made him financially independent.

“Investing is own work (Safe Business). A PowerPoint presentation (16 slides), created by the boy, explaining how Safe Investing makes him Financially Independent, will be sent by reply WhatsApp message,” the ad continues.

Raising Concerns

The ad, shared by former JP Morgan Executive Director Samit Singh, quickly gained attention on social media. While some users found the claims entertaining, others raised concerns, suspecting it might be a phishing scam or an overly ambitious pitch.

Several users pointed out that the claim of compounding wealth by 54% annually is wildly unrealistic. For context, an investment of ₹10 lakh compounded annually at 54% would balloon to over ₹5.5 crore in just 10 years.

“Interesting! Compounding net worth at 54% percentage he will be the richest man in the world in no time,” one X user quipped. “Bro lost me when he said he is compounding at 54%,” commented another. Chartered Accountant Puneet Agarwal humorously remarked, “54% Compounding – boss this guy will beat Buffett very soon!”

Business Pitch Disguised as Matrimonial Ad?

Many were amused by the unconventional wording of the ad, likening it more to a business proposal than a genuine effort to find a life partner. Some even questioned the so-called “safe” nature of the investor’s financial practices. One X user claimed, “It has option seller written all over it!” while another commented, “Bull market gives such overconfidence.”

Despite the skepticism, the ad has certainly captured the internet’s attention, turning this would-be groom into an online sensation. Whether this investment-savvy individual finds his perfect match or not, his claim to fame in the digital world is now firmly established.
