During the 114th episode of his ‘Mann Ki Baat’ radio program on Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi encouraged creators across the nation to participate in the ‘Create in India’ challenge. Organized by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the challenge aims to provide opportunities for talented individuals in various creative fields.
Speaking on the initiative, PM Modi highlighted that the challenge includes 25 opportunities across diverse sectors such as music, education, and anti-piracy. He emphasized, “In order to promote your talent and creativity, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, has started 25 challenges under the theme, ‘Create in India.’ You will surely find these challenges interesting.” Creators interested in participating can register at wavesindia.org.
The Prime Minister underscored the evolving nature of employment opportunities, particularly in creative sectors like gaming, animation, film making, and poster design. “In these changing times, the nature of jobs is changing and new sectors are emerging,” PM Modi noted, encouraging those with skills in these areas to seize the chance to showcase their talent.
The Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Ashwini Vaishnaw, officially launched 25 challenges under the ‘Create in India Challenge – Season 1’ for the World Audio Visual and Entertainment Summit (WAVES) last Thursday. The challenges span disciplines like animation, filmmaking, gaming, music, and visual arts, and are organized by leading industry associations.
Highlighting the importance of supporting local artisans, PM Modi called upon citizens to buy and gift ‘Made in India’ products during the upcoming festive season. He said, “Anything you buy should necessarily be ‘Made in India’… Any such product, that has been made with the sweat of an Indian artisan, made on Indian soil, is our pride.”
As ‘Mann Ki Baat’ approaches its tenth anniversary on October 3, PM Modi expressed gratitude to the listeners, whom he described as the “real anchors” of the program. He emphasized the show’s impact by highlighting positive stories and inspiring examples, saying, “Mann Ki Baat has proved how hungry the country’s people are for positive information.”
