In a major crackdown aimed at dismantling terror financing networks in Jammu and Kashmir, six government employees, including four policemen, have been dismissed from service under Article 311(2)(c) of the Constitution of India. A senior government official disclosed that Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha approved the dismissal of these employees after a thorough probe established their roles in financing terrorism through the illegal sale of narcotics. The investigation revealed that the network was deeply entrenched, with these officials exploiting their positions to facilitate and sustain the illicit trade, thereby channeling funds to terrorist organizations.
The dismissed officials have been identified as Farooq Ahmad Sheikh, Head Constable; Khalid Hussain Shah, Constable; Rahmat Shah, Constable; Irshad Ahmad Chalkoo, Constable; Nazam Din, Teacher; and Saif Din, Constable. Their removal is seen as a crucial step in the government’s ongoing efforts to root out elements within its ranks that support terrorism.
