The Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is projected to win 19-22 of the 25 seats in Andhra Pradesh, as per the News18 Mega Exit Poll. The survey suggests that the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) could secure five to eight seats.
The exit poll results for the Andhra Pradesh Assembly Election 2024 predict a sweeping victory for Chandrababu Naidu’s NDA, with over 160 out of 175 total seats. The majority mark is 88. According to TV5 Telugu, Naidu’s TDP is expected to win over 161 seats, while YSRCP may be limited to 14.
Key battles in Andhra Pradesh include Rajampet (BJP’s N Kiran Kumar Reddy vs YSRCP’s PV Midhun Reddy), Kadapa (YSRCP’s YS Avinash Reddy vs Congress’s YS Sharmila Reddy vs TDP’s Chadipiralla Bhupesh Reddy), Araku (BJP’s Kothapalli Geetha vs YSRCP’s Chetti Tanuja Rani vs CPIM’s Appala Narsa), and Anakapalli (BJP’s CM Ramesh vs YSRCP’s Budi Mutyala Naidu vs Congress’s Vegi Venkatesh).
In the 2019 elections, the YSR Congress dominated with 151 seats in the 175-member Assembly and won 22 of the 25 Lok Sabha seats, achieving 49.9 percent (Assembly) and 49.1 percent (Lok Sabha) vote share.
Voting for the Andhra Pradesh Lok Sabha and Assembly elections was held on May 13, with a voter turnout of 80.66 percent.
