Actress Lisa Bonet has officially filed for divorce from actor Jason Momoa, two years after they announced their separation, as reported by People. The couple, who got married on October 7, 2017, issued a joint statement in January 2022 disclosing their decision to part ways. According to court documents obtained by People, Bonet filed for the dissolution of their marriage, citing irreconcilable differences and listing the date of separation as October 7, 2020.
The 56-year-old Bonet and 44-year-old Momoa have two children together, a 16-year-old daughter named Lola and a 15-year-old son named Nakoa-Wolf. Additionally, Bonet is the mother of actress Zoe Kravitz, from her previous marriage to Lenny Kravitz. In the divorce filing, Bonet has requested joint custody of their children and has not sought spousal support from either side.
When they initially announced their separation two years ago, Bonet and Momoa released a statement expressing their understanding of the transformative times and the shifts happening within their family. They stated, “We have all felt the squeeze and changes of these transformational times… A revolution is unfolding and our family is of no exception… feeling and growing from the seismic shifts occurring.” They emphasized that their love endured and evolved, with a commitment to co-parenting and allowing each other to grow individually.
On the professional front, Momoa recently starred in the action film ‘Aquaman 2,’ which received positive responses from the audience.
