Kulwinder Kaur’s Brother Reacts to Kangana Ranaut Slapping Incident

The brother of a Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) constable, who allegedly slapped Bollywood actor and BJP Member of Parliament Kangana Ranaut, has given his first reaction to the incident. In a video shared on social media, he said, “I learned through the media that something happened at the Chandigarh airport. I now understand that this incident occurred during the checking of Kangana’s mobile and purse. Kangana had said during the farmers’ protest that women were there for ₹100.”

He further added, “After the argument, my sister must have become emotionally angry, which led to this incident. Both soldiers and farmers are important and are fulfilling their duties in every way. We fully support her in this matter.” This statement came as the female constable, identified as Kulwinder Kaur, was charged under IPC sections 321 and 341 following her suspension in connection with the incident.

On Thursday, actor-politician Kangana Ranaut was allegedly hit by Kaur while at Chandigarh Airport. Ranaut later recounted the incident, stating that Kaur approached her and struck her in the face while expressing support for the farmers’ protests. She expressed concerns over rising terrorism and extremism in Punjab, highlighting the need to address such issues.

A separate video circulating on social media showed Kaur explaining her side of the story, citing Ranaut’s past remarks about the farmers’ protests as the trigger for the altercation. Following the incident, several farmer organizations, including the Samyukta Kisan Morcha (Non-Political) and the Kisan Mazdoor Morcha, voiced support for Kaur, emphasizing the need for a thorough investigation into the matter.
