Karan Johar Addresses Weight Loss Speculations And Ozempic Rumors Following Maheep Kapoor’s Remarks

Social media is full of discussions over filmmaker Karan Johar’s new fit physique and some are throwing darts, saying he took to Ozempic to achieve the new look. These rumors can be put at rest as Karan Johar had declared that this transformation is strictly due to a healthy lifestyle, not Ozempic. Ozempic is approved for treating Type 2 diabetes, and weight loss is an acknowledged side effect.

Karan shared a screenshot of a tweet on X (formerly Twitter) on the matter. “Maheep right call to shaming people to use Ozempic for quick weight loss. Got this out of stock for people with diabetes,” the tweet said. Hope she calls out Karan Johar too, the producer of Fabulous Lives vs Bollywood Wives. This comes on the heels of Maheep’s attack on the Netflix show where she spoke out against the misuse of Ozempic by Bollywood starlets, which spits on diabetic patients like her who rely on the drug.

‘Being healthy and eating well’:

Responding to the tweet, Karan said on his Instagram Stories on Saturday: “Being healthy and eating well and reinventing the wheel of your own nutrition! Aur Ozempic ko mile credit (And the credit goes to Ozempic)??” He tagged Maheep and asked, “Did you mean me????” Then, Maheep reshared Karan’s Instagram post with a string of laughing emojis to which Karan replied, “You’re laughing? I’m offended.”

Rumor about Karan’s weight loss

Ozempic was approved by the US Food and Drug Administration in 2017 as an injectable drug meant to help “lower blood sugar in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus, in addition to diet and exercise.” As prescription weight loss drugs have grown in popularity, there’s been much speculation over which celebrities are taking Ozempic.

Because of its recent widespread use, Karan’s chiseled physique at several recent public appearances went viral online. There are pictures galore spreading on the web, comparing the before and after states, and finally, the filmmaker has come out to spill the beans on his transformation and claims healthy eating and lifestyle has been the principal cause for all that fabulous change. Latest in the long list of Bollywood celebrities to lose weight drastically is Karan Johar, and it seems this lost weight has become a trending subject in social media, as many are guessing he might have relied on the drug Ozempic to get his new look. Responding to such rumors, Karan went on record to deny that it was due to any medicine but his healthy lifestyle. Ozempic is primarily used in the treatment of Type 2 diabetes, but its most common side effect is weight loss.

What’s going on?

Karan shared a screenshot of an X (formerly Twitter) post discussing the issue. The post states: “Maheep (Maheep Kapoor) rightly called out people for using Ozempic for fast weight loss and driving it out of stock for people with diabetes.”. Hope she calls out Karan Johar too, the producer of *Fabulous Lives vs Bollywood Wives*. ” This comment was referring to Maheep’s criticism about the Netflix show for misuse of Ozempic for weight loss, which hurts diabetic patients who wholly depend on the drug.

Karan is ‘being healthy and eating well’

To which Karan responded, in his Saturday post on Instagram Stories: “Healthy and eating well and reinventing the wheel of your own nutrition! Aur Ozempic ko mile credit (And the credit goes to Ozempic)??”. He even tagged Maheep saying, “Did you mean me???”. Maheep then reshared Karan’s Instagram post with laughing emojis, to which Karan replied, “You’re laughing? I’m offended.”

Buzz around Karan’s weight loss

Ozempic was approved in 2017 by the US Food and Drug Administration as an injectable medication that is supposed to help “lower blood sugar levels in adults with Type 2 diabetes mellitus, in addition to diet and exercise.” Now that these weight loss drugs are all the rage, everyone’s guessing who among the celebrities may be on Ozempic.

That surely explains why Karan’s chiseled look at various recent public appearances has been a giant talking point online. With countless before-and-after images floating around, the filmmaker has now confirmed that his dramatic results were purely from healthy eating and lifestyle choices.
