Kangana Ranaut, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Member of Parliament from Mandi, has once again found herself at the center of controversy. This time, it’s over her suggestion that the three farm laws, which were repealed following extensive farmer protests, should be reinstated. Her comments have drawn criticism from the Opposition, prompting the BJP to publicly distance itself from her statements.

BJP Clarifies: Kangana’s Remarks Are Personal Opinions

BJP spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia released a video statement clarifying that Kangana’s comments reflect her personal opinion and not the party’s official stance on the farm laws. He emphasized that she is “not authorized” to make such declarations on behalf of the BJP.

“In recent days, a statement by BJP MP Kangana Ranaut on the farm bills, which were previously withdrawn by the central government, has been circulating on social media. I want to make it clear that this is solely her personal opinion,” Bhatia said. “Kangana Ranaut is not authorized to speak for the BJP on this matter, and her views do not represent the party’s stance. We do not endorse this statement.”

Kangana Responds: Confirms Her Views Are Personal

Acknowledging the BJP spokesperson’s clarification, Kangana Ranaut confirmed that her views were indeed personal and did not reflect the party’s position on the farm laws. She took to the social media platform X to respond, writing, “Absolutely, my views on Farmers Laws are personal and they don’t represent the party’s stand on those Bills. Thanks.”

This clarification comes after her remarks sparked heated debate, particularly among those who were involved in the farmer protests against the now-repealed laws.
