In a significant operation, the Jammu and Kashmir Police have apprehended two militant associates during the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday in central Kashmir’s Srinagar district.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Yawar Rashid Dar, son of Abdul Rashid Dar, and Basit Nabi Bhat, both residents of Saderkote Bala in Hajin Bandipora, as confirmed by the local police.
During the operation conducted by the Police Station Parimpora at Shalteng Bund, a pistol, two magazines, 28 rounds, and a grenade were recovered from the possession of the detained duo.
According to sources, a case vide FIR No.159/2023 has been registered against the individuals under sections 7/25 A Act, 4/5 Explosive act, and 18,23,39 ULA Act. Additionally, a bike bearing registration number JK15B 6856, which was being utilized by them, has been seized by the police.
