Jio Introduces JioCinema Premium Annual Plan At Rs 299

Last month, Jio reduced the price of its JioCinema Premium ad-free subscription plan from Rs 59 to Rs 29 per month for a single device. Now, the company has introduced a new pricing scheme, offering the JioCinema Premium ad-free plan for Rs 299 for a 12-month period. This marks a significant discount compared to the previous annual subscription price of Rs 999.

However, unlike the JioCinema Premium Family plan, which permits usage on up to four devices at Rs 59 per month, there is currently no annual family plan available. Until recently, JioCinema did not offer an ad-free plan. The introduction of these new annual and monthly plans not only ensures an ad-free viewing experience but also enables users to stream content in up to 4K resolution, with the exception of live sports content.

Amidst the trend of popular OTT platforms like Amazon Prime Video incorporating advertisements for their paid users, JioCinema is taking a different approach by offering an ad-free experience. It emerges as one of the most cost-effective OTT platforms providing such a service. Opting for the annual plan proves advantageous for users, as it offers the same benefits as the monthly plan but at a lower cost, facilitating savings.

Just like the monthly plan, the annual subscription consolidates all content from platforms such as HBO, Peacock, and Paramount Plus. However, certain regional content like IPL is accessible for free as part of the ad-supported model.

JioCinema is accessible on multiple platforms including iPhone, Android, Google TV, FireOS, Apple TV, and through web browsers. According to Jio, the streaming quality is contingent on the resolution of the screen.
