‘Jahan Jaaegi, Satyanaash..’: Brij Bhushan Reacts To Vinesh Phogats Win In Haryana

Former BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh launched a scathing attack on Congress leader and newly-elected MLA Vinesh Phogat after her win in the Haryana Assembly elections. Singh, who is currently facing allegations of sexual harassment from several women wrestlers, claimed that Phogat’s victory would bring “destruction” wherever she goes. He dismissed her win as a hollow achievement, stating that while she may have secured her seat, the Congress party had ultimately lost in the broader election results.

“Many BJP candidates have won in Jat-majority seats. The so-called wrestlers who led the wrestler’s agitation are not heroes of Haryana but villains for all junior wrestlers. If she (Vinesh Phogat) used my name to win, it only proves that I am a great man who helped her. She won, but Congress lost. Wherever she goes, destruction will follow,” Singh remarked.

Singh Praises BJP’s Performance in Haryana

Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh also commended the BJP’s performance in Haryana, where the party is leading in 50 seats, defying exit polls. Singh credited the BJP’s success to its policies and the people’s trust, dismissing attempts to mislead voters in the name of farmer and wrestler protests. “I thank the people of Haryana for not falling for the protests against us,” he added.

Vinesh Phogat’s Response

After securing a victory from the Julana constituency, Vinesh Phogat dedicated her win to the struggles of women across the country. “This victory is for every girl, every woman who fights for what is right. It represents truth, justice, and strength. I will honor the trust and love the people have given me,” she stated.

Despite Congress trailing in the overall election results, Phogat’s win has been celebrated as a significant moment for women’s empowerment in Indian politics.
