The Israel Defense Forces stated that it pressed its Gaza offensive with overnight military operations in southern and central Gaza. In the southern Gaza city of Khan Yunis, soldiers witnessed three armed terrorists emerging from a building and directed an air strike, eliminating the terror squad with eliminating two terrorists by placing a bomb on the ground.
Khan Yunis being the Gaza’s second largest city is regarded as a keen stronghold of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar.
However a squad of Hamas terrorist was eliminated in the central Gaza area of Al Ma’azi with an air strike, where the soldiers were surveilling with an aerial drone, witnessing the Hamas terrorist emerging from a tunnel shaft. During the activity, the soldiers also located a large number of weapons inside the family home of a terrorist.
One of the separate Israeli combat team in Gaza’s Khan Yunis attacked a terror infrastructure, from where the Hamas fired the anti tank missiles.
In a separate area of Al Ma’azi, forces identified eight terrorists moving towards a school and killed them with sniper fire.
The war led to the killing of atleast 1,200 people in the attacks by Hamas on Israeli communities near the Gaza border on Oct 7. The number of casualties including men, women, children, soldiers and the foreigners in Gaza by the terror group Hamas is now believed to be 129.
Several others remain to call unaccounted for the Israeli authorities continue to identify bodies an search for Human remains in the war.
