In a testament to its dedication to peace and a commitment to nurturing local sporting talent, the Indian Army organized the Marwah Valley Volleyball competition at Navapachchi, Kishtwar from October 25 to October 29, 2023.
The primary objective of this event was to provide a platform for local youth to showcase their athletic skills and to encourage a culture of sports in the region. A total of 12 teams from the Navapachchi area enthusiastically participated in the tournament.
The competitive spirit displayed by the players was nothing short of extraordinary. The zeal and energy exhibited by the local youth were commendable, from the initial participation right through to the conclusion of the event. The community has expressed their immense appreciation for the Indian Army’s continuous efforts in organizing sports events, which not only kindle the competitive spirit but also promote a love for sports and foster a sense of camaraderie and trust between the local populace and the Indian Army.
