Indian Army organized the 2nd edition of the General Bipin Rawat Premier League at the Bipin Rawat Stadium in Baramulla, North Kashmir

In yet another initiative for carrying out constructive activities for the AWAM and providing wings to the aspirations of young cricketers’s hopefuls of donning the Indian blues, the 2nd Edition of the Genrel Bipin Rawat Memorial Cricket Tournament 2024 and the 10th Edition of the BPL-24 are set to captivate cricket enthusiasts in the picturesque town of Baramulla as they pay homage to the late General Bipin Rawat.

In yet another initiative for carrying out constructive activities for the AWAM and providing wings to the aspirations of young cricketers’s hopefuls of donning the Indian blues, the 2nd Edition of the Genrel Bipin Rawat Memorial Cricket Tournament 2024 and the 10th Edition of the BPL-24 are set to captivate cricket enthusiasts in the picturesque town of Baramulla as they pay homage to the late General Bipin Rawat.

The event is being organized under the aegis of the DAGGER DIVISION/HIMALAYAN BRIGADE BARAMULLA RASHTRIYA RIFLES. With teams comprising local talent, the tournament is a breeding ground for young cricketers to showcase their skills and make their mark on the cricketing landscape.

The inauguration ceremony was presided over by Commander 79 Brigade Suhas Mate, SSP Baramulla Amod Ashok Nagpuri, SP Ops Feroz Yahya, and other dignitaries present at the occasion.

The T20 cricket championship being organized from July 15 to August 15, 2024, promises to be a fitting tribute to the former Chief of Defense Staff and aims to promote the values of discipline, teamwork, and patriotism that General Bipin Rawat exemplified throughout his illustrious career.

The youths appreciated the opportunity provided to them and thanked the Army for organizing the event. These efforts by the Indian Army will surely facilitate the new-age Kashmiri youths, who are energetic, upwardly mobile, forward-looking, and ready to pursue a life of dignity and achievement.
