He laid down his life while gallantly leading a counter-infiltration operation along the LoC in Keri-Battal on the night of 11 April 2025.” They further emphasized that his bravery and that of his team helped foil the terrorist infiltration. The Corps also expressed solidarity with his bereaved family during this difficult time.

The Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police, and the CRPF all took part in this mission, based on intelligence inputs. In this operation, two terrorists were killed, and significant war-like materials were recovered.
