Defence Minister Rajnath Singh Lauds PM Modi’s, Criticises Congress

Union Defence Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate from Lucknow Lok Sabha constituency, Rajnath Singh, commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s efforts in elevating the financial and economic status of the nation. He reiterated claims that Mahatma Gandhi advocated for the dissolution of the Congress party immediately after India gained Independence in 1947.

Speaking at a public gathering in Agra, Singh asserted, “Without a doubt, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has significantly enhanced India’s global stature, regardless of any criticisms leveled against him.”

He also recalled Mahatma Gandhi’s proposal to transform Congress into a social service organization post-Independence, stating that the party’s failure to heed Gandhi’s advice reflects the public’s ongoing efforts to fulfill his vision.

Singh further highlighted Gandhi’s aspiration to eradicate poverty from India, contrasting it with the promises made by successive Congress leaders, which he claimed remained unfulfilled.

He lauded PM Modi for his achievements in poverty alleviation, citing endorsements from leading economists and international organizations.

Additionally, Singh praised former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee for his contributions to infrastructure development in India, emphasizing PM Modi’s continuation of Vajpayee’s legacy. He concluded by affirming India’s enhanced standing on the global stage under PM Modi’s leadership, noting the increased attention and respect accorded to India’s voice in international forums.
