DD Kisan: To Launch Two AI Anchors, AI Krish and AI Bhoomi

Television channel DD Kisan is set to introduce a fresh look and style for Indian farmers on May 26, 2024, marking its ninth anniversary with an innovative presentation. The channel will launch two AI-powered anchors, AI Krish and AI Bhoomi, during this revamp.

In the current era of Artificial Intelligence, Doordarshan Kisan is embracing technology with these AI anchors, designed to mimic human news presenters. “These AI anchors are like humans in their functionality; they can read news continuously, 24/7, without fatigue,” the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare announced in a release on Friday.

These AI anchors will be visible to farmer viewers across all Indian states, from Kashmir to Tamil Nadu and Gujarat to Arunachal Pradesh. They will provide essential information on agricultural research, market trends, weather changes, and government schemes both nationally and globally.

A notable feature of these AI anchors is their ability to speak in fifty languages, catering to a diverse audience.

DD Kisan, established by the Government of India on May 26, 2015, is the nation’s only TV channel dedicated to farmers. The channel’s objective is to keep farmers continuously informed about weather changes and market conditions, enabling them to plan effectively and make timely decisions.
