With great fervor and enthusiasm, people across the country are engaging in Laxmi Puja, bursting firecrackers, and embracing the enchanting rituals of this beloved festival.
Visuals from states like Delhi, Tamil Nadu, Punjab, Maharashtra, Jammu and Kashmir, Telangana, and Uttar Pradesh showcase the jubilant celebrations that have engulfed the nation. A significant number of devotees have emerged in various temples, reflecting the spiritual essence of the festival.
In Jaipur, known as the ‘Pink City,’ the streets are aglow with colorful lights in celebration of Diwali. Meanwhile, in Lucknow, residents have gathered to offer prayers to Lord Ganesh and Goddess Lakshmi in their homes, further emphasizing the cultural significance of the festival.
From Kolkata to Thoothukudi, and Bathinda to Aligarh, citizens are joyfully bursting firecrackers, embodying the spirit of Diwali. In Delhi, devotees have flocked to prominent temples such as Sree Vinayaka Temple, Pracheen Hanuman Mandir, and Shri Laxmi Narayan Temple (Birla Mandir), all adorned in colorful lights for the occasion.
Interestingly, Birla Mandir in Delhi will celebrate Diwali on November 1, as priest Lal Chand Sharma stated that ten scriptures support this timing. He expressed his best wishes to everyone for a prosperous Deepawali.
On this auspicious occasion, greetings and well-wishes poured in from various spheres, including political leaders and celebrities. Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited President Droupadi Murmu to extend Diwali greetings, and he also celebrated with brave personnel from the BSF, Army, Navy, and Air Force in Gujarat.
The sports community joined in the festivities as former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar shared warm Diwali wishes, encouraging everyone to spread joy.
Bollywood stars are equally enthusiastic about the festivities. Parineeti Chopra shared glimpses of her Diwali celebration on Instagram, while star couple Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor were spotted visiting Ranbir’s mother, Neetu Kapoor, to celebrate the occasion.
