The weather department IMD (India Meteorological Department) announced red alert for Goa on Saturday.
In Goa, heavy to extreme heavy monsoon is expected in the next upcoming days. In addition, the IMD has also announced red alert for Mumbai on Tuesday.
On the early hours of June 9, the financial capital of India witnessed 176 mm of rain in three hours.
As per weather agency, monsoon continues to be active in coastal states in the last 24 hours. Moreover, it has forecasted low visibility, which occurs due to heavy rainfall at coastal areas of Maharashtra, Goa and Karnataka.
Thus, on July 12 and 11, the orange alert has been issued in different parts of the states.
Besides these places, the orange alert has also been issued for 10 more states this week.

In addition, IMD has also given rainfall alert for Uttarakhand on July 9, announcing, that moderate to heavy rainfall with thunderstorms and lightening are expected.
For several places in Uttarakhand, IMD has predicted heavy rains on July 10, which include Tehri, Pauri, Bageshwar, Almora, Nainital, and Champawat districts.
As for National Capital Delhi, IMD has forecasted moderate to heavy rain in isolated parts of the city. On Tuesday, the minimum temperature of Delhi stood at 28 degrees celsius.
Also, the city saw light rainfall in early hours of Tuesday.
