The weather department IMD predicts heavy rainfall for various regions of India and has also issued a severe weather advisory.
IMD has predicted heavy monsoon to very heavy monsoon for both northwest and eastern region of India in upcoming days.
In addition, the northeast India is expected to witness long rainfall. As for Himalayan states, Uttarakhand is expected to witness extremely heavy rain in isolated areas from July 7-9.
Other places like West Madhya Pradesh, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, and Bihar are likely to get substantial rainfall on July 7. That is today.
In the coming 2-3 days, central Maharashtra, Konkan, Goa, and Karnataka are likely to get heavy rain.
Meanwhile some areas of following states like Himachal Pradesh, Haryana-Chandigarh, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, East Rajasthan, East Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, and Chhattisgarh are likely to get heavy rainfall till early next week.
As for the national capital Delhi, the city will witness light rain and presence of high humidity with presence of overcast weather without sun.
As per IMD, Delhi might witness rainfall from July 7 to July 12, accompanied by maximum temperature 37 degree celsius on July 11.
Overall, the city will receive cloudy skies in this period. Today on sunday, IMD forecasts maximum and minimum temperature of 34 and 26 degrees Celsius respectively.
