Former President Donald Trump has expressed feelings of betrayal toward Kim Kardashian following her public celebration of Joe Biden’s 2020 presidential victory. In an interview with author Ramin Setoodeh, reported by the Washington Post, Trump revealed his frustration with Kardashian, who posted three blue-heart emojis to commemorate Biden’s win.

“I was disappointed in Kim,” Trump admitted. “I get along with her fine. I got along with her then-husband — in fact, he endorsed me and all that stuff.” Trump’s comments referenced Kanye West, Kardashian’s ex-husband, who had publicly supported Trump in the past but did not vote in the 2020 election. West had also flirted with the idea of running for office himself before his controversial public meltdown, which included strongly anti-Semitic remarks.

Reflecting on his relationship with Kardashian, Trump highlighted his administration’s efforts on prison reform, an area Kardashian had been passionate about. “But with Kim, I did a lot of prison reform that she couldn’t get done with anyone else. Then, in order to be accepted by Hollywood, she didn’t endorse me,” Trump remarked. He later clarified that someone had told him Kardashian did not support him.

Trump’s history with the Kardashian family has been fraught. He had previously clashed with Kim’s sister, Khloe, during his time hosting “The Apprentice.” Reports from a 2016 Huffington Post article claimed Trump had made derogatory comments about Khloe, referring to her as “the ugly Kardashian” and a “piglet.”

In the interview, Trump acknowledged his strained relationship with Khloe, stating, “We never got along great” and describing their dynamic as having “little chemistry.” Commenting on her current appearance, Trump noted, “She looks so much different today. I saw her fairly recently. Better! She looks better. It was just her time to be fired. It’s hard to be on a show like that. You’re with other people who are very smart. I mean, some of these contestants are vicious. I’d watch it go on, and they were ferocious.”

After his split from Kim Kardashian, Kanye West maintained a connection with Trump, even bringing white supremacist podcaster Nick Fuentes to a dinner with the former president. Following the backlash from Fuentes’ attendance, Trump claimed he had no prior knowledge of who Fuentes was and subsequently distanced himself from West. Trump labeled West a “seriously troubled man” and advised him against pursuing a political career, calling it a “total waste of time” because “he can’t win.”
