His magnetic screen presence, coupled with impressive dancing and fighting skills, has cemented him as an all-rounder in the industry.

A Childhood with Big Dreams

Born Rajiv Hari Om Bhatia, Akshay’s journey to stardom wasn’t easy. He recalled a moment from his school days when his father, frustrated with his poor academic performance, almost reprimanded him. Instead, he urged him to think about his future. Young Akshay confidently replied, “I will become a hero.” Despite scoring low marks, his passion for sports stood out. He excelled in various games, including volleyball and cricket, but his real interest was in martial arts.

Akshay convinced his father to let him pursue his passion for Karate, leading him to Bangkok for rigorous training. For five years, he honed his skills there, a journey that laid the foundation for his future as an action hero. After his training, he worked in various cities, even dabbling in Kundan Jewellery in Delhi.
