In a major boost for former DY CM and Congress candidate for Panchkula Chandermohan Bishnoi, the Bhupinder Hooda camp on Sunday joined his elections campaign here.
As of now,Hooda camp, especially the senior leaders like Shashi Sharma, Sunita Sharma, the Mahila Sewa Dal leader, Ankush Gulati, district media coordinator, Akshay Nishad, the councillor, Kulwant Singh Gill, and other senior leaders had maintained distance from campaign due to obvious reasons.
All of this is an outcome of a meeting of leaders from Hooda group held at the residence of Shashi Sharma here. Chandermohan himself was present in the meeting which was conducted by Haryana Congress media incharge Chandveer Hooda who had been following the instructions from Rohtak MP Deepender Hooda.
Shashi Sharma opened the meeting with his address wherein he informed as to how Congress is way ahead of BJP in Panchkula as well as across the state. According to sources, Shashi asked all those present to come out openly in case they had any grudge against party or candidate or person in particular.
Chandveer Hooda joined in and elaborated upon message from former CM Bhupinder Hooda and MP Deepender Hooda. He reiterated that entire discussion held in the meeting will be forwarded to the leaders but as of now victory of Congress candidates tops the priority.Meanwhile, Chandermohan too joined in by saying that he was feeling encouraged with the meeting. He assured those present to be there with them as and when required for the campaign.
“ If required I shall visit those personally who want me to meet them at their place,” assured Chandermohan.Notably, except for former MC president Ravinder Rawal and former Mayor Upinder Kaur Ahluwalia, all the groups of Panchkula Congress have joined the election campaign.
Manish Bansal,son of former Union minister Pawan Bansal was first to join followed by family of Haryana Mahila Congress Sudha Bhardwaj.
Impact of Saturday meeting was seen duringCampaign of Congress on Sunday. As most of the leaders had started their campaign.
There were 27 members who were in the race to get the MLA ticket, including Manish Bansal, Upinder Kaur Ahluwalia, Ravinder Rawal, Anjali Bansal, wife of former MLA DK Bansal, Sudha Bharadwaj, state President Haryana Mahila Congress, Nandita Hooda and many more. When Chandermohan, who comes from Kumari Selja’s camp, received the Panchkula assembly segment candidature, many leaders showed restraint towards him but now, as most leaders have joined in, the Congress party is expected to work in its full potential.
