Rahul Gandhi, the Congress leader, paid an impromptu visit to Madina village in Haryana’s Sonipat district on Saturday, where he was seen spending time with farmers in the field.

Himanta Biswa Sarma, the chief minister of Assam, posted a video of a cameraperson capturing Rahul Gandhi wading in knee-deep water in agricultural land and made a remark that the “sudden desire of the Prince, and his desperation, to get real is laughable!”

“But in your zeal to get captured by your photo & video team, for God’s sake, do not demean the dignity of our Annadatas. The heckling of farmers to pose as a ‘farmer’ is deplorable Mr Gandhi. Get Real without the Reels,” Himanta tweeted.

The BJP’s official Twitter account shared the same video, calling Rahul Gandhi a “self-engrossed farmer” who sowed paddy in front of four or five cameras. “Camerajeevi kisan Rahul Gandhi,” tweeted the BJP handle. In response to the camera jibe, Congress leader Supriya Shrinate tweeted, ‘Irony pronounced dead’.

A posse of camera people can be seen surrounding Rahul Gandhi in footage supplied by BJP leaders a day after his arrival. They, too, walked on water as Rahul Gandhi posed with farmers.

The BJP’s CT Ravi dubbed Rahul Gandhi “publicity jeevi,” claiming that his entire ecosystem will attempt but fail to reinvent the “Dynast.”

“It’s amusing to watch Rahul try to prove that he cares about the common man when, in reality, he’s trying to fool the masses.” Despite being the MP for Amethi for nearly 15 years, Rahul was unable to transform it into a model constituency and was beaten by Smt @smritiirani, causing him to flee to Wayanad. “With each such attempt to deceive Bharatiyas, @RahulGandhi will end up making a bigger fool of himself,” CT Ravi tweeted while uploading the same video.
