IMD Issues Rainfall Warning for several states

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heavy rainfall warning for several regions across the country, predicting significant rainfall from October 12 to 16. The forecast includes multiple states, with varying levels of severity.

Predicted Heavy Rainfall in Key States

The IMD’s forecast indicates that heavy rainfall could hit states such as Tamil Nadu, Kerala, South Interior Karnataka, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Arunachal Pradesh, and Gujarat.

  • October 13: Very heavy rainfall is expected in Kerala and Tamil Nadu, along with heavy rain in Konkan, Goa, Gujarat, and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
  • October 14: The IMD predicts very heavy rainfall in Tamil Nadu and Kerala, with additional heavy showers in South Interior Karnataka, Rayalaseema, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, and Saurashtra and Kutch.
  • October 15: Heavy rainfall is likely in Rayalaseema, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala.
  • October 16: Heavy rainfall is expected to continue in Rayalaseema, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, and Kerala.

The IMD’s alert emphasizes the need for precautions and preparedness in the affected regions as the country faces days of continuous rainfall across multiple states.
