Former Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij removed the mention of Modi’s family from his X (formerly known as Twitter) profile. Changes were made to the account on Monday. Following the removal, the political climate in Haryana became tense. Vij later commented on the situation.
Recently, BJP leaders nationwide added ‘Modi’s family’ to their names on their ‘X’ (formerly Twitter) handles. Amidst this, Vij changed his handle on Monday to ‘Ex Minister’, sparking widespread discussion.
Vij addressed the entire matter, stating that he was required to list ‘Ex Minister’ on his profile, which necessitated the removal of ‘Modi’s family.’ He affirmed his allegiance to the BJP and his intention to remain with the party. Anil Vij is coming to Chandigarh.
“Everyone knows that I am now ‘Ex’ and I should write ‘Ex’ everywhere. But when I started writing Ex in my profile on X, the number of letters to be written in the name exceeded the fixed number, so out of that (Modi’s family) which is me… It had to be removed from the top and put down. It gave some people an opportunity to play. Please fix it now. I am an exclusive devotee of the BJP. If you had talked to me before playing on it, I would have got a chance to hear your sweet voice and it would not have happened.”
Watch here:-

Anil Vij is a seasoned leader of the BJP in Haryana, hailing from Ambala. He served as the Home Minister in the former government led by Manohar Lal Khattar. Recently, the BJP appointed Nayab Singh Saini as Haryana’s new Chief Minister, a decision that reportedly upset Vij, as he was not included in Saini’s cabinet. Despite this, Vij has publicly maintained that he holds no grudge against the party. In an effort to address any discontent, Nayab Singh Saini personally visited Vij at his residence.
