Harmonious rhythms: Celebrating World Dance Day with Kendra’s student performances

Pracheen Kala Kendra organized a musical evening studded with beautiful dance presentations in the loving memory of Guru Kanhiya Lal ji who was a kathak guru par excellence   to mark  World Dance day at its M.L. Koser Indoor Auditorium at 6:30 pm onwards where students of Kendra who are learning intricacies of Kathak under Guru Shishya Parampara showcased their talent and demonstrated ample proof of their remarkable training being imparted at Kendra .
This show was presented under the direction of the Dance faculty of Kendra Guru Brij Mohan Gangani , Guru Yogesh Sharma and Mrs. Rakhi.  Approximately 20 students participated in this cultural evening.

The program begin with presentation by   little champs under the direction of Mrs. Rakhi who presented kathak dance on the bols of Bhajan Jai Ganpati Jagvandan, which was highly appreciated by the audience. In this students namely Mohana , Anarghya , Parisha , Mansi , Tanishi and Saumya participated .   After this Guru Yogesh Sharma’s students took the centre stage , they commenced with  Vishnu  Vandana with bols “Shantakaram Bhujagshayanam” by Vridhi , Tamanna , Himadri , Aashi and Anadika followed by Jhap taal based composition Krishna Vandana with bols sawali surat man ko bhai by Nahian Chowdhury .

After this beautiful performance Rashi Shukla , student of Guru Brij Mohan Gangani presented pure Kathak syllables like tode tukde, ladi paran , farmaisihi chakkar etc. with  beautiful footwork. The programe was concluded with Durga stuti  with bols “jai jai Mahakali” by Unnati Sharma and Akshay Sharma
This team was accompanied by  Guru Yogesh Sharma on Harmonium and padant , Unnati Sharma on Vocals, Akshay Sharma and  Bhaskar on Tabla . Guru Brij Mohan Gangani also accompanied his student on  Padant.  In the end, Kendra’s Deputy Registrar Dr. Samira  Koser encouraged the students with words of appreciation and congratulated  the Gurus  for their efforts.
