Gunmen open fire in Mexico bar, Nine people killed

Nine people were killed in Central Mexico after 7 gunmen entered a bar and started firing indiscriminately.  This happened on Wednesday night in the Lexuz Bar in Apaseo del Alto.

At least seven gunmen entered the bar at 21:20 local time, according to the neighbourhood (03:20GMT). Five males and four women were among the attack’s casualties. According to the reports, one of the nine persons that died was probably the owner of the bar. Two of the bodies were discovered in a car, according to the report. The two men may have been hit by stray gunshots or they may have been running away from the scene of the incident. Unknown is the reason for the attack at the pub. The research claims that Guanajuato has seen an increase in bar shootings.

The turf battle between cartels has been cited as a major cause of the violence in the area. According to the allegation, the Jalisco New Generation cartel (CJNG) and the criminal organisation Santa Rosa de Lima are engaged in a turf battle.

The CJNG, which has its power base in the state of Jalisco, is attempting to enter Guanajuato, where the Santa Rosa de Lima group is largely in charge of fuel theft and smuggling.

Twelve people were reportedly killed by unidentified gunmen in the Mexican city of Guanajuato earlier in October, according to a report from Kuwait Times. Police say that at around 8 o’clock (local time), an armed group broke into the bar in Irapuato and started shooting at patrons and employees.

Six men and six women were among the victims, according to a statement from the city authorities, and three other people were hurt. The attackers’ identities were kept a secret by the authorities. According to Kuwait Times, the remains of the other victims were recovered in the bar, while the body of one victim was discovered next to a motorcycle.

According to the municipal government, search efforts were begun to find the attackers by the police, army, district attorney’s office, and National Guard. In the Mexican municipality of Tarimoro, 10 people were killed by armed assailants in September.
