Following heavy rainfall in Gujarat’s Gandhinagar, a car plunges into a massive crater as section of road earlier caved out.
According to video shared by PTI, a white car had fallen into crater, which was formed after road caved.

Earlier, a road collapsed in Ahmedabad’s Shela area due to heavy rainfall.

Meanwhile, Gujarat witnessed heavy rainfall in various parts of the state, the Palsana taluka in Surat district received 153 mm of rainfall in mere 10 hours, reporting a highest in the state.
Due to rain, it had drastically affected daily lives of people in Surat, Bhuj, Vapi, Bharuch and Ahmedabad as traffic movement is impacted in these places due to inundation of low-lying areas. Thus, leaving some roads and underpass inaccessible.
According to IMD, similar monsoon conditions are likely to prevail in the state for next upcoming four days.
