The Haryana government’s initiative to enhance women’s contribution in agriculture and streamline farming processes through the deployment of 15,000 ‘NaMo Drones’ is noteworthy. Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced this program during this year’s address from the Red Fort.

To further this initiative, KRIBHCO is conducting training sessions on ‘NaMo Drone Didi’ in Bhora Kalan, Manesar, Gurugram. Mrs. Ambika Rana, a member of a self-help group from Kothi, Morni, Nagar Kheda, Haryana State Rural Livelihood Mission-Panchkula, is among those receiving training.

Rahul Yadav, Programme Manager of Haryana State Rural Livelihood Mission, stated that post-training, drones will be provided to members free of charge. This enables individuals to have nano-urea and pesticides sprayed on their crops at a nominal fee, ensuring efficient and quick agricultural practices while mitigating the harmful effects for the applicator. This approach not only streamlines tasks but also presents an opportunity for group members to enhance their livelihoods.
