Former RG Kar Medical College Principal Sandip Ghosh, who has undergone 15 days of questioning by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in connection with the alleged rape and murder of a trainee doctor, is reportedly trying to shift blame. Sources suggest Ghosh is deflecting responsibility for why hospital authorities misled the doctor’s parents and left the crime scene unattended for about 40 minutes.
Despite undergoing lie-detection and voice analysis tests, Ghosh’s explanations remain under scrutiny. It has been questioned why he was informed of the death at least 30 minutes after the body was discovered, and why the initial reports to the parents suggested suicide. The CBI is examining possible inconsistencies in Ghosh’s statements and investigating the presence of his aides in the seminar hall despite his claims of not knowing about the death initially.
