For the first time in 147 years, the England cricket team has set the record of acquiring fatest fifty in less than 27 balls at test format. Thus, achieving huge success with their aggressive batting strategy.

This record was established on the first day of the second test match. Setting a stable partnership from the start, Ben Duckett made 33 runs from 14 balls, while his partner Ollie Pope made 16 runs from 9 balls straight. Thus, not out.

By hitting the total of ten boundaries, England had beaten its own record. Earlier in 1994, they made similar record against south Africa at ovals in 4.3 overs.

Meanwhile, India has established its position at 5th rank in terms of scoring fatest 50 collectively in test format.
The Indian cricket team has achieved the 50 feat in 5.3 overs against England in the year 2008 at Chennai.
Later after many years, India repeated this feat again in 2023. Where the team again made 50 in 5.3 overs against west indies at Port of Spain.
