While presenting Meloni with the Atlantic Council Global Citizen Award, Musk expressed his admiration for her leadership, stating, “It is an honor to present this accolade to someone who is even more beautiful on the inside than she is on the outside.” He added that Meloni had accomplished remarkable work as Italy’s Prime Minister and emphasized the rarity of honesty among politicians.

In response to Musk’s compliments, Meloni thanked him via her official X account. A Tesla fan club shared the photo of the two and playfully asked, “Do you think they’ll date?” Musk quickly clarified, stating that they are “not dating.”
Meloni received the award for her strong support of the European Union and for being the first female Prime Minister of Italy. She attended the event as part of a gathering of leaders from over 190 nations for the United Nations General Assembly’s annual high-level meeting.
