Republican candidate Donald Trump won the US presidential election on Tuesday, defeating Vice President Kamala Harris. This victory marks a remarkable comeback for Trump, who will reclaim the White House just four years after losing his re-election bid. According to Fox News, Trump will become the first president in US history to serve two non-consecutive terms since Grover Cleveland in 1892.
Trump was initially elected president in 2016, defeating Hillary Clinton and campaigning on the slogan “Make America Great Again.” Although he lost his re-election bid to President Joe Biden in 2020 during the global coronavirus pandemic, Trump returned to the race in 2024 with a new slogan, “Make America Great Once Again.”
Trump has already secured crucial victories in swing states such as North Carolina, Georgia, and Pennsylvania. Additionally, he is leading in several other states, further solidifying his path to victory.
