Does Amit Shah’s Son Know How To Hold A Bat?: Sanjay Singh

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Sanjay Singh criticized the BJP, labeling them as “ghor parivaarwaadi” (deeply entrenched in dynasty politics) on Saturday. Singh accused BJP leader Amit Shah of engaging in dynastic practices, highlighting that Shah’s son, Jay Shah, holds the position of BCCI’s secretary despite lacking any cricketing background.

“Does Amit Shah’s son know how to hold a bat? But, he is the chairman of BCCI. PM Modi wants a third term at the age of 73 years and a ‘Jawan’ will be retired at the age of 21 years? These people are ‘ghor parivaarwaadi’,” news agency ANI quoted Singh as saying.

Subsequently, he asserted that while the BJP prioritizes its inner circle of family and associates, the AAP is dedicated to serving the nation. “PM Modi, Amit Shah & BJP have no work except to help their family and friends to grow… We are working for the country, whereas they are working for their friends,” he added.

The BJP and opposition parties such as Congress, RJD, and SP have been engaged in a heated dispute over accusations of involvement in dynasty politics.

PM Modi has repeatedly criticized the Congress party, alleging that it is fixated on dynasty, appeasement, and corruption, with national development not being a priority for them.

The prevalence of dynasty politics is evident in Indian political history. The Congress party has long been dominated by the Nehru-Gandhi family, spanning from Pt. Nehru to his great-grandson Rahul Gandhi. Similarly, Mulayam Singh Yadav’s son and daughter-in-law, Akhilesh Yadav and Dimple Yadav, are actively involved in politics, as are members of Lalu Yadav’s family, including his wife Rabri Devi and sons Tej Pratap Yadav and Tejashwi Yadav.

At present, AAP leader and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal finds himself in judicial custody at Tihar jail due to his involvement in a money laundering case associated with the liquor excise policy.

As part of phase 6 of the electoral process, voting for all seven Lok Sabha seats in Delhi is slated for May 25. These constituencies include New Delhi, Chandni Chowk, East Delhi, North East Delhi, North West Delhi, West Delhi, and South Delhi.

During the 2019 elections, the BJP emerged victorious in all seven seats, securing wins over candidates from the AAP and Congress.
