While reviewing the progress of the special summary revision-2024, she directed the SDMs to resolve claims and objections by December 26, 2023, ensuring the publication of the final electoral roll on January 5, 2024.
Stressing the need for appropriate measures for the deletion of shifted and deceased voters, she urged SDMs to carefully verify their whereabouts through Booth Level Officers and Supervisors.
During the Special Summary Revision-2024, which took place from October 27 to December 9, 2023, a total of 13,886 forms were received. These included 8,167 new voter registration forms, 1,451 deletion requests, and 4,267 correction requests.

Deputy Commissioner Jain instructed SDMs to plan college/university-level camps to engage young voters. She also directed them to coordinate with Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs) to register voters who have not yet been enrolled.
Additionally, she asked SDMs to outline voter awareness activities under SVEEP (Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation) and submit plans with budget demands to the District Election Office to initiate SVEEP activities starting in January.
The officers in attendance at the meeting included ADC (G) Viraj S Tidke, SDM Mohali Chandrajyoti Singh, SDM Kharar Gurmandar Singh, SDM Derabassi Himanshu Gupta, and Tehsildar Election Sanjay Kumar.
