Delhi University Launches Admission Portal For 71,000 UG Seats

The University of Delhi has introduced a portal for admissions to its 71,000 undergraduate seats for the 2024-25 academic session. Interested candidates can register online for DU CSAS UG 2024 on the official website. The university offers a total of 79 undergraduate programs across 69 colleges, all of which will be filled through this admission process. Admissions will be based on merit scores in the Common University Entrance Test for undergraduate programs (CUET-UG), conducted by the National Testing Agency.

Dean of Admission, Haneet Gandhi, announced in a press conference, “Admission to the DU UG courses for the academic session 2024-25 will be conducted through DU CSAS portal 2024.” The process involves applying to the University of Delhi, indicating course and college preferences, and then seats will be allocated accordingly.

The portal has also been launched for undergraduate admissions to the School of Open Learning (SOL) and Non-Collegiate Women’s Education Board (NCWEB). Candidates will need to pay the DU CSAS UG 2024 registration fee. Admission through CUET will begin after the results are declared.

Previously, admissions to DU undergraduate courses were based on cutoff marks from Class 12 board exam scores. With the new process, candidates will specify their preferred course-college combination after the CUET results, forming a priority list that will determine seat allotments.

Once a seat is allocated in a round, candidates must “accept” the seat before the deadline for that round, as inactivity will be considered non-acceptance of the seat.
