A shocking case from Shakarpur in Delhi involves a 30-year-old man, Karan arrested for secretly installing spy cameras in his tenant’s washroom and bedroom. Karan has been accusing the tenant a civil service aspirant of framing false cases against him with possible relationships that prove his accusations wrong. He becomes hostile to her when she gives him the keys while traveling out of town. Actually, on her way, he captured the images of both the washroom and bedroom by fixing the cameras in the bulb holders.

Suspicion was raised by the woman as she detected some suspicious activity on her WhatsApp and that, to her surprise, it was logged into some unknown laptop. She disconnected it and knew she was being monitored. After being advised to check her linked devices, she discovered that her WhatsApp account was logged into an unknown laptop and she promptly logged out of it, said deputy commissioner of police (east) Apoorva Gupta.

When she did more research, she found that there was a hidden camera in the bulb holder in the bathroom and right away filed a complaint with the police. The police further investigated the place and found another camera in her bedroom. In interrogation, Karan confessed that three months earlier, he had installed the cameras when the woman had gone to her village in Uttar Pradesh.

Karan purchased three spy cameras from an electronics market. Since these cameras did not have online features, he used to request keys to houses under the pretext of fixing electrical fixtures so he could transfer the recorded videos directly from the memory cards into his laptop. The police then found another spy camera and two laptops that were full with the footage.
