Punjabi pop sensation Diljit Dosanjh, whose name symbolizes “winning hearts,” recently proved it true by supporting a fan who faced online trolling for crying at his Delhi concert.

During his Hyderabad show on Friday, part of the ongoing DIL-LUMINATI TOUR, Dosanjh addressed the viral video of a woman moved to tears at his October 26 event. “It’s okay to cry,” he said, adding, “Music is an emotion. It has in it smiling, dancing, Bhangra, Gidda, and even crying! I myself cry listening to music. Only those who feel emotions can cry.”

The “Ikk Kudi” singer reassured his fans, encouraging them not to worry about expressing emotions. “Nobody will stop these girls [from expressing themselves]. They are independent. It’s not just men who make money. Women earn too. They do so they can enjoy. If you are insulting them, you are insulting the country’s daughters, I tell you,” Dosanjh warned.

In a heartfelt gesture, Dosanjh shared a video montage from the GMR Arena show on social media, accompanied by a voiceover of his comforting words. His Instagram post read: “A woman who knows her worth doesn’t need validation—she shines bright enough to light her own way.”

It’s completely natural to cry. I’m so overwhelmed that I cried.”
